The Langtang Valley Trek is one of Nepal’s most beautiful and culturally rich short treks, perfect for those seeking a quiet yet rewarding Himalayan adventure. Located just north of Kathmandu, the trail winds through Langtang National Park, home to lush forests, snow-capped peaks, yak pastures, and ancient monasteries.
This 7–10 day trek takes you deep into the Tamang and Tibetan-influenced culture, with stops in villages like Lama Hotel, Langtang Village, and Kyanjin Gompa. From Kyanjin Ri or Tserko Ri, trekkers are rewarded with stunning panoramic views of Langtang Lirung (7,227m) and the surrounding ranges.

Day 1: Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu (1350m).
Welcome to beautiful country Nepal. After arrival in Kathmandu our team will pick you up from the airport, will greet and transfer you to your hotel. In the evening our team member will do briefing after that you can enjoy welcome dinner featured by Nepalese cuisine.

Day 2: Sightseeing in kathmandu and trek preparation.
After breakfast we will pick you up to explore major highlights of the city listed by UNESCO World Heritage Sites which includes Bouddhanath, Durbar squares, Swambhunath, etc. In the late afternoon / evening our team member will do briefing about the preparation of your trek regarding checking the trekking gears as well as finalizing preparations for the journey ahead.

Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,460 m) .
We will begin our Langtang adventure with a scenic drive by private jeep from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi, the gateway to the Langtang region following the winding mountain roads through picturesque villages, lush hills, and terraced farmland. Along the way, we can enjoy views of the Trishuli River, Ganesh Himal, and rural life. Though the road can be rough in sections, the drive offers a great introduction to Nepal’s Himalayan landscapes.

Day 4: Trek from Syabru Besi to Lama Hotel (2,470 m) .
After breakfast, our journey for Langtang Valley Trek begins with a steady ascent from Syabrubesi, following the banks of the Langtang Khola. We will cross suspension bridges, pass through lush subtropical forests, and trek alongside waterfalls and small villages. The trail gradually climbs through Bamboo and Rimche, offering chances to spot wildlife like langurs and red pandas, before reaching the peaceful forested settlement of Lama Hotel.

Day 5: Trek from Lama Hotel to Mundu (3550 m) .
After breakfast in Lama Hotel, we will start ascending steadily through dense forests and along the Langtang Khola, with glimpses of snow-capped peaks as we gain altitude. Will pass through Ghora Tabela and the former site of Langtang Village, rebuilt after the 2015 earthquake. We will continue to Mundu, a peaceful village just beyond Langtang, surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery and traditional stone houses. This stretch offers a powerful blend of natural beauty and cultural resilience.

Day 6: Trek from Mundu to Kyangjin Gompa (3800 m) .
After breakfast in Mundu, We will start a gentle but scenic trek as we are making our way from Mundu to the spiritual heart of the Langtang Valley—Kyangjin Gompa. The trail winds through yak pastures and glacial moraines, offering stunning views of Langtang Lirung, Tserko Ri, and surrounding peaks.
After crossing several small streams and moraines, the trail reaches the settlement at Kyangjin. a good place to stop for lunch. This beautiful village of Kyangjin is home to an ancient Buddhist monastery, government operated cheese factory, and dramatic alpine landscapes.

Day 7: Rest day at Kyangjin Gompa (Optional Day Hike to Kyangjin Ri) .
Today we will take a well-deserved rest day in Kyangjin Gompa which is surrounded by stunning Himalayan peaks. We will explore the village, visit the ancient monastery, or tour the local cheese factory.
For adventure seekers, an optional hike to Kyangjin Ri (4,773m) directly behind the village, offers a rewarding 360-degree panoramic view of Langtang Lirung, Yala Peak, and surrounding glaciers—an unforgettable highlight of the trek. This is the highest point most trekkers reach on the Langtang Trek. For the best views on this outing, it’s best to get an early start as clouds usually build up in the afternoon.

Day 8: Trek from Kyangjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2,470 m) .
After breakfast, we will retrace our steps as we descend from the alpine heights of Kyangjin Gompa back to Lama Hotel. We wil enjoy a relaxing downhill walk through scenic forests, yak pastures, and riverside trails. With clearer views on the return journey, we can appreciate the beauty of the Langtang Valley from a new perspective, passing familiar villages like Mundu, Langtang, and Ghora Tabela along the way.

Day 9: Trek from Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi (1,460 m) .
Today we will began with descend through lush forests filled with oaks, rhododendrons, and bamboo as we return from Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi, marking the final day of our Langtang Valley Trek. The trail follows the Langtang Khola, offering a peaceful and scenic walk with chances to spot local wildlife and enjoy the sounds of the river. It’s a day to celebrate the completion of our Himalayan adventure in the charming village of Syabrubesi.

Day 10: Drive from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu (1,350 m) .
After having breakfast, we will conclude our Langtang adventure with a scenic drive back to Kathmandu, which takes approximately 7–9 hours by private jeep. The journey winds through terraced hillsides, rural villages, and along the Trishuli River, offering one last glimpse of Nepal’s diverse landscapes.
In the evening, enjoy your well-earned farewell dinner.
