Day 2 : Sightseeing / Explore Highlights of Kathmandu / Trek Preparation.

After breakfast we will pick you up to explore major highlights of the city which includes Bouddhanath, Durbar squares, Swambhunath etc.  Today is also dedicated to finalizing permits and having briefing about the trip.  Our team will provide essential information about the route, safety guidelines, and equipment requirements.

Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (152 m).

Drive from kathmandu to Pokhara which takes approximately 6-7 hours. On your way you will see terraced farming, beautiful mountains and misty hills offering scenic glimpses of villages, riverbanks, and rugged hills. Stay overnight in lakeside, Pokhara.

Day 4 : Drive from Pokhara to Jomsom (2,743 m).

The journey from Pokhara to Jomsom by four-wheel drive Jeep is an adventurous and scenic ride that takes you from the lush green hills of central Nepal to the dramatic arid landscapes of the trans-Himalayan region. Covering approximately 155 kilometers, this off-the-beaten-path drive is an experience in itself, offering a gradual transition from subtropical terrain to high-altitude desert.

Day 5: Drive from Jomsom to Muktinath and to Ghami (3,510 m).

We will begin our journey with a scenic drive from Jomsom through the windswept Kali Gandaki Valley to the revered pilgrimage site of Muktinath (3,710 m). We will explore the sacred temple complex, known for its eternal flame and 108 holy water spouts which is worshiped by both Hindus and Buddhists.

After this spiritual experience, we will continue our drive through Upper Mustang’s dramatic desert-like terrain, passing through charming villages like Chhusang, Chele, Samar, Syangboche Pas and Ghiling before reaching Ghami which is one of the oldest and culturally significant settlements in the region.

In Ghami, we’ll see ancient mani walls, traditional mud-brick houses, and surrounding cliffs that glow in golden hues during sunset. This is a quiet yet striking village with strong Tibetan Buddhist influence.

Day 6 : Drive from Ghami to Lomanthang (3,840 m).

After having breakfast in Ghami, We will continue our drive through the rugged landscapes of Upper Mustang, heading toward the legendary walled city of Lo Manthang. On the way we will stop at Dhakmar, known for its vivid red cliffs and ancient caves, and then at Tsarang (Charang), home to the historic Tsarang Monastery and royal palace ruins.

The final stretch to Lo Manthang offers stunning views of the Himalayan plateau, traditional chortens, and panoramic vistas of Mustang’s wind-eroded cliffs. Upon arrival in Lo Manthang, we will check in to a guesthouse and explore the town’s maze-like alleys and ancient structures.

Day 7: Explore Lomanthang.

Tucked away in the high-altitude desert of Upper Mustang, Lo Manthang is a mystical,  that transports you centuries into the past. Once the capital of the ancient Kingdom of Lo, this remote Himalayan town near the Tibetan border is rich in Tibetan Buddhist culture, medieval architecture, and untouched Himalayan charm.

This walled city was Built in the 15th century by King Ame Pal, Lo Manthang is surrounded by a 6-meter-high earthen wall, with whitewashed houses, narrow alleys, and centuries-old monasteries inside. It is the cultural and historical heart of Upper Mustang.

Visiting Lo Manthang is like walking into a living museum — a rare cultural gem that has preserved its spiritual and architectural heritage for centuries. Whether you’re seeking culture, spirituality, or stunning Himalayan landscapes, this remote city offers a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Day 8: Drive from Lomanthang to Marpha ( 2670 m).

The drive from Lo Manthang to Marpha takes you through the raw beauty of Upper and Lower Mustang, passing through dramatic desert landscapes, ancient villages, river valleys, and lush apple orchards. Marpha is a serene and clean village ideal for overnight rest after rugged Mustang drive. Its one of the unique village in Mustang region and here you can also taste here locally made apple cider, brandy, jam and dried fruits.

Day 9 : Drive from Marpha village to Pokhara and have stopover at Tatopani.

After having breakfast in Marpha we will begin our scenic drive to Pokhara with stopover at Tatopani hot spring. Relax in warm hotspring pools surrounded by stunning mountain views before continuing through the Kali Gandaki Valley’s lush landscapes. This drive combines comfort, culture, and rejuvenation for the perfect end to your Mustang adventure.

Day 10 : Explore beautiful Pokhara.

After breakfast, We will start short hike to peace stupa crossing through fewa lake by boating. Visit peace stupa, Devils fall, Mahendra cave etc. In the afternoon, treat yourself with cosy spa / body massage or just relax at lakeside. Enjoy your dinner at lakeside.

Day 11: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu (1,350) .

After Breakfast, we can have a short sightseeing around beautiful city of Pokhara. Today we will enjoy the scenic overland journey from Pokhara to Kathmandu, passing through lush valleys, terraced hillsides, and vibrant roadside towns. The drive takes approximately 6-7 hours, following the Prithvi Highway, with opportunities to admire the Trishuli River, Himalayan foothills, and rural life along the way. This road trip offers a relaxing end to your trekking adventure in western Nepal, leading you back to the cultural heart of the country—Kathmandu.
