The Australian Base Camp Trek is a short and scenic adventure near Pokhara, perfect for beginners and families. Offering stunning views of the Annapurna and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) mountains, this easy trek passes through charming villages and lush forests. At just 2,050 meters, Australian Base Camp is an ideal spot to enjoy a Himalayan sunrise without the need for high-altitude trekking. It’s a perfect getaway for those looking for a quick taste of the Himalayas.
This trek is also suitable for the people having small children. The Managing Director of Ramailo Gantabya Homestay and Trekking (RIGHT NEPAL) have done it with his wife along with 2 years old child. We have attached a featuring picture from it.
7 Days / Easy Trekking
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu!
Day 2: Sightseeing / explore highlights of Kathmandu.
Day 3: Fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara. Sightseeing around Pokhara (850 m).
Day 4: Drive from Pokhara to Naudanda and trek to Australian Camp (2,050 m).
Day 5: Trek from Australian Camp to Sarangkot and drive to Pokhara (850 m).
Day 6: Fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu.
Day 7: Departure from Nepal.
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu. (1,350 m)
Welcome to beautiful country Nepal. After arrival in Kathmandu our team will pick you up from the airport, will greet and transfer you to your hotel. In the evening our team member will do briefing about the Program after that you can enjoy welcome dinner featured by Nepalese cuisine.

Day 2 : Explore Highlights of Kathmandu.
After breakfast we will pick you up to explore major highlights of the city which includes Bouddhanath, Durbar squares, Swambhunath etc. In the evening our team member will do briefing about the trip/trek.

Day 3: Fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara, Sightseeing around Pokhara. (850 m )
A scenic 25-minute morning flight takes us to Pokhara, Nepal’s picturesque lake city. Will do a short hike to peace stupa crossing through fewa lake by boating. Visit peace stupa, Devils fall, Mahendra cave ect. This hike will work as acclimatization for your trek.
Flight Duration: 30 minutes / Hike Duration: 2-2.5 hrs / Meal Plan : Breakfast / Overnight: Hotel in Lakeside, Pokhara.
Day 4: Drive from Pokhara to Naudanda and Trek to Australian camp. (2,050 m).
After breakfast, drive about 30 minutes to Naudanda then trek via Lumle through local villages as well as lush forest trails and ridges to reach Australian camp.
Drive Duration : 30 minutes / Trek Duration: 3-4 hrs / Meal Plan : Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner / Overnight: Teahouse in Australian camp.
Day 5: Trek from Australian base camp to Sarankot & Drive Back to Pokhara (850 m).
Descend through a beautiful forest trail rich in birdlife to the village of Dhampus. This traditional village offers great mountain views and a chance to explore local culture and lifestyle. Enjoy a leisurely walk down to phedi through terraced hills and riverside paths. Upon reaching sarankot, you’ll be picked up and driven back to Pokhara — marking the end of a short but enriching Himalayan journey. Enjoy dinner at cosy lakeside, Pokhara.
Trek Duration: 4-5 hrs / Drive: 30 minutes / Meal Plan : Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner / Overnight: Hotel at Lakeside, Pokhara.
Day 6 : Fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu.
A morning flight takes us back to Kathmandu. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the city, do some last-minute shopping, or simply relax before your departure. Enjoy farewell dinner.

Optionally, You can also stay at Thapa Homestay in Dadhikot, Bhaktapur and enjoy farewell dinner with authentic Nepali cuisine.

Day 7 : DEPARTURE FROM KATHMANDU:
After a memorable trekking adventure in the Beautiful Himalayan country , we transfer you to the airport for your international flight home.
